I'm a geek, or I might be a dork, or even a nerd, i dont really understand the diffent conotations applied.

Fact is I'm a fantasy freak. Not as in "fantasy costumes", but as in fantastic fiction. Though im not that much into sci-fi. I have this passion for old age fantasy, and dragons, and spears, and swords, and magic, and ancient-like technology (futuristic/medieval or medieval/futuristic) and futuristic technology, and spacetravelling, and, well ok, so maybe i like some sci-fi...

Dungeons and Dragons 4E

Couple of weeks ago i started playing 4E..

Honestly, im disapointed.. i was expecting an evolution of the D20 System. Instead we get a Massive Multiplayer Offline RPG with even MORE restrictions.

Ups
Gameplay is easier, giving it more dinamics, and improving gameflow.
Group formation is objective. Each player will know it's part, avoiding bad relations among party members.
Wide range of Classes and Races to pick from

Downs
Extreme restriction of Class development. You started a ranger archer.. you will probably end like one.
Restricted powers per class. You want to be a Fighter Spell Caster? Better make the right class choice, and get into your head that casting a Fire Ball will never EVER be the same thing. (I believe Fire Ball is the Most Famous and Glorifying spell EVER created, even though its not the strongest. I might be alone here, but I shed tears of joy As Lina Inverse ("Slayers" main character) cried out "Fa-ya Booo-ru!!")


Summarysing
It's a completly diferent game. If you've never played before, open you're mind for a completely new experience (or rather, a completely new OFFline experience).
